Description

Gweal Mellin Cornish Farmhouse Cider ABV 7.3%

Our 2018 Cornish Farmhouse Cider is delightfully light, strong and refreshing. Along with cider apples we use plenty of eaters for natural strength and cookers for the added sharpness

Pairing.

Dry (Served Chilled). Seafood and in particular and good Cornish Crab Salad. Why not make a dressing with our amazing Apple Cider Vinegar

Medium (Served Room Temperature) . There is only one Pairing we can wholeheartedly recommend and that is the Cornish Pasty (Catch Nick and ask him for recommendations)

Sweet (Serve Chilled). A Cornish Goat’s Cheese Salad followed by a good Barbecue

The Process.

Using Orchards in Landrake, Fowey, Mawnan and Polwheveral we hand pick every apple. We then transport them to our Orchard at Constantine where we Press the apples after washing and presenting them to quality control.

The inspection is carried out by Dear Ol’ Debs who has extremely high standards, making sure only the best fruit gets in

All our cider Bags and Bottles are hand bottled on site before being sent out for you to enjoy

We do use a very small amount of Sulphate for freshness to get you the very best product possible

Why not try a pint of this great cider at The Plume of Feathers, Portscatho  or The Stable Restaurant, Falmouth.

This cider is truly excellent! I ordered the Medium and I am back for 10L more. It has the depth of flavour of a true craft cider, something that makes a Strongbow or even a Mangers seem bland, along with a superb blend of sharp and sweet for a medium result with both components still in the mix. It’s smooth and clear. It seems expensive but even with shipping I’m only paying £5 per 2L of superb beverage: half the price of any of the best craft hand made ciders. Plus it’s over 7% so lasts longer than you think. I had the previous polypin for 4 months and the last drop was as good as the first. You won’t be disappointed!
